There was mention above of the MRP GP-10 pan car, but no picture ever surfaced... I have two of these - one that I bought, and raced, back in the 1980's, and another more recent eBay acquisition.
Here are some pics of the new, not-yet-complete model:

On the topic of MRP models, let us not forget the awesome KONG, the truck that dominated the cover of the second issue (Spring, 1986) of RCCA.
I have always wanted one, but, you know how they say "Rare as hens' teeth..."
I bid handsomely on the last one I saw on eBay, alas, I did not win.
Here are some of the pictures from that auction:

They made a puller called the Drag'n Master. It used High Roller rear wheels. I think they sold the puller chassis without body as well and called it The Wedge.
Edit (spelling)

I could kick myself,
I had one that was given to me about 10 years ago that was a partial build. (never run)
The parts were dyed purple, (not my taste)
It sat around for awhile, I never bothered to finish it. At the time I was burned out w/R/C stuff.
To be honest, I thought it was kinda cheap looking. I later gave it to my best friend who promptly sold it on eBay.
I had an MRP Baja Bug body on my Frog back in the day, that thing was tough as a football helmet....good stuff.

that Kong sure does look like a Hirobo. I had a car that looked a lot like that with the same tires but it said Hirobo on the chassis. I never had a body and never knew about the Kong. Sold it long ago but know I know what it was! I think i still have the tires around from it.

I was watching that same add before it got yanked.. They also made the Kong, looks like a Hirobo take off. Most of the Hirobo parts fit it as well. The Dragon pull sled truck, Datsun pickup, lots of boats...
Its funny the puller truck has Highroller rear tires/rims, Pro-110 front tires/rims and GP-10 front arms.

Does anybody know if that is the same body that RCRC (Ascot) used on their supermod?

Yup, we will be selling the MRP Ripper truck. It's based on the Assoc. T3 truck. HRP is the distributor. That ESC is Thunder Tiger. I don't know what the relationship between Thunder Tiger and MRP is. Perhaps they own the brand? Should be a good little truck especially at that price point.
