I used the wider front end, it makes a drastic change in the handling. The car is more stable and you can throw it into a corner quicker and get out of a corner quicker. Longer Ujs yes, but worth the upgrade. I used 7.5 degree front castor blocks but they are not available anymore so if you can get 7 then that will be more than enough for you.

Hi Rob, I just wanted to update this thread on your ZX. Is there any chance you might have pics of the uni's you used for this car?

Just so no one get's the wrong ones: the 62.5mm CVD's are ultima RB5's , not lazer zx5's
Guys, I'm told Lazer ZX-5 CVDs will work in the normal Optima/Turbo/Javelin (i.e. non-Mid), however I have discovered (as has been discussed here) that there are different lengths of CVD's, 62.5mm and 65.5mm. I'm guessing the 62.5mm units are a near-perfect swap for the stock Optima dogbones & shafts?

Not sure, but I believe there are 4 lengths for the new Kyosho cars. 60.5, 62.5, 65.5, 68(?). Then there are three different axle lengths (there is actually a fourth, but it is an axle/adapter used for B4 style wheels). -no groove, 2 grooves, 3 grooves- each getting 1mm longer, with according grooves on the axle (2 grooves = 2mm longer than standard, 3 grooves etc.). This should cover most of your Kyosho needs. -Jeff

73mm...That should be for the truck version of the RB5 then.
Could be good to use on a works 91 front. Thanks for the dimension!
