well I like the looks of those oldies much better than the later pictures. the one behind the blazing blazer kind of could be a turbo optima

There are some really narrow buggies even today in offroad racing. It just depends what class you race in. Generally speaking, the wider the buggy the faster. I like wider buggies. There's just something about 30+ inches of wheel travel.

If any of you guys want to see a good movie regarding desert racing (Baja) go out and rent Dust to Glory. They have some excellent shots of full race buggies going through whoop sections, bodies barely moving, wheels bouncing like mad, suspension doing some serious work.....
