Awesome, I read your post and found that the slipper assembly on the XX is almost the same to the XXX, from the upper shaft, to the slipper backing plate, now to find the rest of it.
Thank you very much.

Looking at the diagram, It looks like it uses two identical slipper pad backing plates and a spur gear wedged in between them. and that's it??
the two plates squeeze the spur gear in place??
Cool, I have another backing plate, all I would have to do then is to remove the plate were that holds the original XX spur gear in place, and get a new XXXcr 76-78 spur and wedge it in between the two backing plates, right??

you need slipper pads also!!
I think the front plate is a bit different, do they have different part numbers?
The double slipper set up is much nicer than a single slipper. So much easier to set.

Nope, they have the same exact part number
So the spur gear is just flat, no knobs to hold it in place, just the slipper pads and the plates hold it in place, right??
This is gonna be awesome, I also found that the XX uses the same CVDs as the XXX, and the same rear pivot block, hence, I can run XXXcr rear arms if I ever need to

I tapped the Spur gear holder, with a 6/32 thread tap, screwed in a 75 spur gear with 6/32 screws, cut the excess out of the other side of the plate, where it meets up with the slipper pad, and ground them down.
Bolted on the 17.5 with a 26T pinion, and connected my 4900 lipo to this set up, and the XX was almost popping wheelies in the carpet, I can't wait to try it in the track.
In order for me to get to that 6.0 starting point, I think I'm going to need a 28T pinion.
but I have plenty of space now.
Either way, I'm going to buy the losi 78 spur, and try out the double slip pad set up, and compare which feels better.
