How does the stealth trans work, I plan on doing the same thing, my buggy looks alot like yours

I haven't used it yet...I'm saving it for a vintage RC10 moderonization project, but it looks and feels like it is going to be sweet.

My trans is getting died now. And holes are going to be drilled

i was thinking about dying my stock tanny case, but i was told it might warp the plastic so how

has anyone else heard of this

mines done anhd I had no issues, can't you get black cases from ae?

I've had parts warp when I used really hot dye but I realized awhile after that you don't have to heat it hot or even at all. I keep all my Rit Dye colors in resealable buckets and if I drop a set of wheels in overnight they are black the next night. No heating...no warping.

before: after: This is not going into my graphite RC10, which I would of had to drill, but going to go into a custom RC10, similar to a couple of members which were discussed in the "What was old is..still old, but a lot newer" thread

It could use a bit better finish but the divots in the surface of the plate are quite deep

I'm not sure if I mentioned it earlier in this thread, but this car was my dad's back in the day. I wanted to run it when I got back into RCs after 16 or so years...I got it looking like this then decided to shelf it to keep the memories. I am glad I didn't drill out the holes and replace the 6 gear transmission. I just ended up finishing a graphite Team car chassis, which has the stealth holes and I will run that one now.

Having needed to save a bunch of white parts to be dyed black, I've decided to turn this car back to original and then paint a Protech II body in a box art scheme. I have a gold pan which is being made into a trophy girl replica and it had all white parts. I swapped out the interchangeable white parts and have been scrounging around to find the rest of the white parts needed to complete the thing.

So far I got everything but the shock towers, a 4 hole front and 2 hole rear, and I also need the long original turnbuckles. I'm looking for the original electronics my dad used in this car too. He had a Trinity Speedworks 350 motor and a Tekin esc 250 pro, so if anyone has these sitting around I might make you an offer. I have the motor still, but the label is in rough shape.

I've got everything back to normal with the exception of the turnbuckles and the wing. I've got a re-re wing I can do up, so that should be done soon enough.

Much better imo over the green version!
