The motor is positioned the same as yours, but rotating in a standard direction, as opposed to your need for opposite rotation. On the 3 gear they bring the top shaft out of the other side of the tranny to address the motor rotation issue, which is why it is flipped compared to yours.
The mid mount setup, which is a very old idea btw, is intended to move the mass closer together, reducing rotational inertia. Thus the car turns easier, and stops turning easier too. Quicker reaction, pretty standard race car stuff.
Sadly you are not the first mid Losi, while uncommon, I’ve seen pictures of several posted in various places. Some are just converted nitro trucks, suggest checking out a Losi nitro truck for ideas.
I’ll check, but I’m not sure how you reverse the direction of a sensored brushless set up. It’s not as easy as just flipping wires like with sensorless I don’t think.
So do I have the rotational equivalent of the 4 gear?

I'm running a reverse rotation facing the same way, but 1 less trans gear.....
I know it's an older idea for the mid motor, but the X-60 sparked my interest.
My motor is sensorless, so I can either swap wires, or just check the little box marked "reverse direction" in the Losi Software for the ESC.

No, because of the reverse rotation of your motor. Ends up being the same as the flipped but normal motor rotation 3 gear X car. It' not the side the pinion is on, just the direction of rotation, and thus direction of reaction forces involved.

Gotcha...
Now I got a wrench in my works....LOL

I have to say that y2kgtp has done a killer job, here!
Takes some guts to start ripping on a high end truck with a dremel!

Well, if I paid Retail.....
I did get the rear motor guard installed as a motor mount, looks like it will work well.....
Maybe if I go Hyperdrive, I can get the motor rotation the "correct" way, or what the X-60 trucks are currently doing

Novak just replied to me and the Havoc series you just reverse the rotation in the software, that's it. check a box, good to go....

And also you can on the Slydr, but not the GTB. Don't know about the other guys, I only tried contacting Novak too.

I'm looking at the Havoc for 140$ when they finally release it for 13.5T Class....

I'm just waiting on a Velcro battery strap plate out of a Axial crawler I ordered to use to secure the battery:

My battery hold down came in today.....works great.....its a nice steel plate that has 2 Velcro straps to secure the LiPo. and the plate is bolted down to the chassis. No worries about a Lipo getting loose on a hard crash.

It is aluminum, but will work, lol.

Is it? It felt pretty heavy...I'm glad it was not plastic.

How do you have it screwed down? There's not much thickness to work with is there?
Have you ran it much yet? Still looks pretty clean. (see I can do something other than ask silly questions, well sorta anyway)

I have it going threw to low profile lock-nuts on the bottom side. The sides of the chassis flare up, so they do not touch when the chassis is flat to the ground (or table)
I have not run it yet, as I wanted a secure mount for the battery before I took it out. Will play with it in the street when it warms up a bit, then off to the local track to see if it turns at all.....

Keep us posted. I know some X Factory guys, might be able to call on them for advice if needed. I'm guessing that turning will be the least of your worries.
