Somebody did. There is/was a guy in Australia selling them on ebay. I can't remember his name. They are nice, I have one.

  are you kidding me, you can't run that in heavy metal... those belong in 2wd truck....

Just Messing...

I agree with you Scr8p, those (Hilux/King Cab)should be allowed in the Heavy Metal Class 8)

If I could afford one, I would run a King Cab at the VONATs.

How about if I put lunchbox tires and wheels on my RC10 Heavy Metal Project?? would that make it a little more fair??

Not too sure I agree with the monster rc10 thing but I am new here and have absolutely no right to question a decision on that :) Still trying to see if the wife is cool with me going to the 09 nats. I have a nice Gold pan on the way "just in case". It will be nice to help represent the Pa.Posse :P
Off course you have the right to question any decision, will they take it into consideration? Now that is another story :D :D

what, you'll print the manual or rebuild the truck? if your tamiya builds go anything like that of your rc10's, i'll just take the manual. :P :P :P

if you have time to print it, that be cool. if not, let me know. thanks.

That's the site I use for old Tamiya manuals-- even the ones I physically own I have downloaded for instant reference on my computer.
You have to be a paying member to get the full-sized manuals at TC.

My buddy had a King Cab when we were kids. I was a sweet truck at the time. I was going to get one for him off ebay an found a mint truck all built with an unpainted body for $400.00!!!! Are they really that collectable? I remember the body being really weak too!!

what is collectable is up to you. For me, I have no interest in the Hilux so $400 would be way too much but for someone who cherished one of these back in the day, $400 would be a steal. I guess the point I am trying to make is buy what you like, not what someone else thinks of it.

ive seen decent(not new or mint) Hilux/king cabs have as low as $50 buy it now..id watch a bunch on ebay first.some people ask high $$$ for stuff but never get it..i really like how these trucks drive..just not a big fan of the trans and the chassis (i had a ebay hilux with bad trans and cracked chassis) if you find one with a sassy chassis and a steath trans buy it ... it may be one of the coolest trucks ever 8)
