What an awesome Vintage Nationals! This year I had even more fun than the first two I went to, and those two were a blast! I think it helped for me to get there on Friday and work as many bugs out of my beetle as I could, and get some more practice time on the track, especially since I only seem to run my cars once a year or so. Thanks to Erich and the track crew for putting on such a great event! Big thanks to Rick for all the technical and parts help, from the double sided velcro to the giant yellow wing on top of my Sand Scorcher, it really helped! And thanks to Brandon for donating some cool RC10Talk decals to make it look right. 8) Also, thank you Anthony for the servo saver and ball ends to create a better solution to the stock setup on my Scorcher and the red thread lock to keep my axles attached to my car. Still some bugs to work out on this car, but I plan to return with it next year for sure. That car was such a blast to drive, the most fun I've had racing since I used to race Mini Coopers in the lots with my buddies. Hopefully I'll have a Clod to race next year as well.

I want to keep rambling on about how good a time it was this year, but man am I sleepy! Thanks again to everyone, I know I forgot some people. What a great time!

and it was great to hang out and Thank You so much Brian and Brandon G for all of the time you spent helping me out again, at this and the last race we were all at. if it wasnt for you all helping me with my car my weekend wouldnt had been half as much fun with my bad handling car. As always I had a blast had a blast, watching, spotting and racing. I would like to thank Erich, John and Mark for putting on a great show and everyone else who was involved. My SandScorcher experienced some trouble and could not make the main, but it was fun just running it the two qualifiers.

Time to start wrenching to get ready for the 2012 VONATS. See you guys again next year.
