To everyone who was able to make it to the VONATS....

I HATE YOU ALL!!! (read as, Im SOOOOOO jealous)   I REALLY wanted to go. But things are just too tight around here right now. Someone mentioned hopefully having a Southeast Meet. That would be awesome.

HEEeeey, how bout more than one leg per year?? Northeast, Southeast, etc, etc. Just a thought.

As for you Mr Lexan, if you arent "satisfied" with the pics youve posted, I cant imagine what would satisfy you. They look as good as MOST Ive seen in magazines. THANKS for bringing the meet to the unfortunate among us who couldnt make the trek.

Congrats and Thanks, to all invovled.

Yep, big thanks to little Tecnica, she saved me a whole lot of leg work during practice. 8)
Tons of thanks for sure! She did a perfect job!

That'd be cool. I'd be able to make the Midwest event then! :)

Thanks Monster, but I still think that is far from the truth. I just set my bar very high and strive to be as good as Jimmy over at oople (he is the best in my opinion). This was a learning experience for me 1. for the lighting situation and 2. the small size of the cars.

This is more what I am used to and the quality I expect from myself. This is what I was striving for.

Jay,

which speed do you set your camera ?
In thiscondition I think to set around 800 ISO, with a speed around 1/1000 depends where you are located on the track and adjust operture with the exposure you have...

What do you think ?

Do you use flash ?
If yes that's May be the problem due to the synchro speed ?

shrink them down to 1/10 scale and try the same pic your not going to get and indoors ? dont beat your self up you know what to expect next time and those pic's were outside in great light, digital cameras are a lot slower than 35mm. when the light is low the are worse. try it with real film not as convenant but much better quality and easer ont the phototogafter

What about a centrally located event... hopefully bringing in crowds from both coasts

Great job to all who organized, helped, participated, etc with this event!

Can't wait to see where next year will be...

It'll be in Connecticut of course :D :P where else?? It's tradition now, all the best vintage racers from around the country gather at RCHR in Waterburry for the Vintage Nationals

Where did they have the Cactus Classic?? In Cactus USA off course, they didn't change it

Hopefully Brian Kinwald or Mark Pavidis or Masami Hirosaka, can show up at one of these events and have the local guys spank on them :D

Covell was telling me how Brian Kinwald went to an Ohio Race and the local guys spanked him pretty good :D

Although, Brian Kinwald was and still is my favorite driver -- don't ask me why, he just is....

If hey do decide to do it somewhere else, I would like some time in advance to plan a weeks vacation with the family, me and my wife work at the same place so we can plan vacations with the same boss :D
