I'm gonna break the rules and post a picture that I've never actually taken. Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

This image is from Google maps.
This "T" shaped bridge is the exact spot where the Enola Gay dropped "Little Boy" on August 6th, 1945.
That domed structure in the background is what's left of a building that survived the blast.
I searched Google maps and found this after watching a documentary on the subject and I just had to post it here.
Please forgive this senile old man for breaking the rules.

I live maybe 30 minutes from Port Chicago, and the Concord Naval Weapons station, where Fatman went from the railroad, to a deep water port, and on to the Enola Gay.

I visited my mom this evening and took this picture of her backyard in the dark when I left because I grew up there. The digitizing of the pic turned out interesting I thought.

Not everyone gets an armed fighter jet scrambled. So what did you do? When being pursued, I hear that running in a 'serpantine' path makes you a harder target.

She was thrilled to be going on a car ride at first, but I think I captured the moment she realized we were at the grooming place.

Port Jackson, Coromandel Region.
New Zealand.
This is a Government department of conservation campsite, nz$10 a night each, cold water showers and composting toilets, but can't beat the views, and a tent site on the beach.

This fall weather feels great.
What's sad is that it's true, comparatively speaking.
