The guy who's helping me with be doing all the computer tuning and such. He informed me I would have to eliminate the anti theft stuff before anything. Then I'm sure he will go through and eliminate other stuff. He's the one who knows what he's doing. Not me

My pet peeve is spliced and cut wires joined with crimps.

I actually had a pin break as I was re pinning the ECU plugs. I had a box of spare wire and a crimp connectors in sight. I couldn't bring myself to do it. I went and found my soldering stuff and did it right. The last thing I want to do is track down electrical gremlins when this is over.

Not that much of an update but...... I ran my aluminum fuel lines under the car up to the firewall where I've mounted my fuel filter and regulator. Just need to make the lines from the tank to the hard lines and the fuel is done. And I decided I'm going to add an external resivior to my master cylinder. Where it's mounted it will be a huge pain to work with. So I'm going to make it easier before I even start trying to bleed the system.

So close now I'm getting as excited about this project as I was when I first started it.

We've been waiting a long time too

Not sure if I'll be getting it to the track this year. But I'll be driving it this year which is sooner than I thought just a month or so ago.

I'd love to see the reactions of people. When you get it on the road you should book it in for a service just for fun.

When I put the ratchet shifter in my Fairlane a shop rang me to say my transmission was broken or not adjusted properly as they couldn't put it in reverse or park. I laughed.

Or go to a drive through,

and try to place a order.

And there is just no way they can hear you over the rumble of your car.

Have to turn the engine off, so they can hear.

I hope I never have to use another AN fitting again. Good news the fuel system if finally finished. I've only been putting it off for months now.

Thanks Dave, if I had more patience and more desire I could've done better. I've never worked with aluminum hardline before but it was awesome to work with. I just bent it all by hand and worked it into place. Next time I'm running all hard lines.

Volkswagen resivior, some brake fluid compatible hose, and some scrap aluminum.

That's interesting.... Why not relocate under the hood.

Will fluids inside the drivers compartment pass tech?

The biggest reason for the placement was simplicity. I was looking for under the hood options but there was no clean way. The winshield motor and under dash arms were the biggest things in the way. Then the height was another thing. Even if I made a mount and put the lid of the reservior on the hood the hoses would've been running slightly uphill due to the outlets of the reservior coming out of the bottom and the location of my master cylinder. As for any tech inspection, I don't foresee any issues there but I could be wrong. I've seen many race cars in all sorts of racing with interior brake systems. I'm anticipating not having a roll bar as my first thing I'll need.
