That new body will look great on there. Nice score. I think the green and white will look great. Maybe throw in some silver accents or fades as well?

one of the first rcca mags I got , had a quaker state indy car on the front: little less flashy green and more-oldschool style?
I think there was a bronze and white miller car in that issue also

Ok here's my first go at painting a sprint car...very very hard to do with all the masking involved. The body is just sitting on the car in these pictures so excuse the way it's looks. It needs to be seen up close I've put metal flake in the blue paint and of course there is lots of chrome...what looks silver in the photos is in fact chrome..

I'm still working on the Quaker State body and I also now have the original body set for this car including driver figure which I'm going to paint in a more retro paint scheme...Hope you guys like her..
I also painted a driver figure thinking that I'd have to try and make it fit the BBT...of course now that I have the original driver I won't need him so I might put him in the BST section...

Pete, Looks like you have some time invested in masking and airbrushing on that one. Can't wait to see the retro paint job you come up with.

Cheers Doug I will put this together today and add a few decals and take some nice pictures of it for you guys....I think my retro paint job will be just two colors with a strip up the the tail and a little something around the nose..nothing too flash..but still nice..I'll tell ya painting the driver on the original body set is a bitch you can't get at it to mask it. The driver above took 3 nights solid to paint I think it's going to take me at least 2 more to paint this original...but what the hell what else am I going to do?..watch TV?..talk to the kids?..
