I'm in the process of building a Traxxas TRX-3/TCP for 2wd, so now I'm up to 4 cars I can run but only 1 class, I really need to get to work on my LXT too.

I put HPI wheels on my JRXT the other day.... That's about the only progress I've made in the last 2 months.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I'm looking for clarification on what is acceptable for a short-arm Rc10 running Classic class. Here's my thread.
http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=34695
Is an A&L bellcrank allowed? It's more of a durability upgrade than anything else, but I want to be sure.
Is chassis cutting allowed? I've heard yes and no. My bulkhead's camber link hole ears are somewhat broken, and I drilled a hole in the CE location through the wing tube both for durability and performance.
I'd also like to clarify that things like adding camber link holes to the rear bulkhead, changing caster, etc. are allowed.

I take it there's some gray area, which I'd like to stay out of.

Hey thanks for asking. You can run that in Classic. All of bye mods your doing are authentic and your not running the wide arm suspension or modern tires so you're all good.

With that said, this is just about the limit of what is allowed in Classic. The point of letting these cars in was to give people a class to run "true vintage". While not just for shelf Queen accurate cars, I don't was to start a modding war in a class that's supposed to be kept basic. :)

Thanks!
I actually am running modern tires and wide arms. However, I'm thinking about converting it back to a short-arm for classic class and getting another car (maybe a Worlds re-re?) for club racing.

Ah ok. Ya wide arms and soft/large tires would go in 2wd.

And that's one reason I'm thinking of getting a Worlds re-re over a new car. I can run it at VONATs.

I'm also thinking no. What I gather is that the chassis needs to be period correct, except for durability upgrades.

the rc10, jrx2, and ultima need to be pretty much box stock in the classic class since they race with non-pro level tamiya kits. if you want to run the 1.9 -1.7 jconcepts tires you'd have to run 2wd.

What do you guys think about having a rere class just for the rc10 classic? I'm thinking Classics only (no worlds cars) and open to any modern hop up that's available.
