I went to the Historics at Seca back in 2003, that year they had a Bugatti reunion. Well during some down laps Bugatti was able to do some promo laps for adveristment, maybe 10 laps or so. Mind you this was in a prototype as that car wasn't available then, I think there were two at the time in existence. I was sitting in the Media Room and he blows by the front stretch at maybe 120 -130 goes into the slight left hander before turn one and can only assume he was a bit over confident by going into the corner a little too hot and hits the breaks a little harder than necessary. I hear tires a-screaming. Those whom have drive rear engine cars, know they get tail happy a heck of alot quicker than front engine cars as the weight behind you pushes you instead of pulling you through the corner.... anyways, wooooof, the tail got out from under him and I swear he was within 12 inches of nailing the wall.
That would have been one heck of a mess at that speed and during a promo run. I can't remember what the Speed Channel commentators said, but we all had a good laugh.

Yeah! An electric razor that goes 200MPH!
Most super cars are good at one thing, going fast. The amazing thing about the Veyron, IMHO, is that it's
the super car. This is the Bentley of super cars, it does it all, absolute luxury, performance, speed, you name it. Of course, at 1.7 million, one would expect a little more, wouldn't they.

this is a picture of an old electrical fishing rig. You basically stun the fish then net them when they float to the top. The old hillbilly way was to take an old crank phone and run leads into the water then crank away. That worked well until the invention of aluminum boats

I had a few friends get lit up fishing this way with out any insulator between them and the boat

Funny you should say that because the term "redneck" was actually coined in the town where I grew up. The union miners were marching from Charleston WV to Logan and they wore red hankies on their necks so they knew who was a miner and who was not. They met up with Sheriff Don Chaffin on Blair Mountain and fought for a couple days before the national guard was sent in. The miners were called rednecks because of the handkerchiefs.
This sign is at the base of Blair Mountain about 5 miles from where I spent the first 20 years of my life.
