I just wish no one had purchased that particular kit (not all the AE rereleases....if a graphite comes available I will buy one) for rebellion reasons...but that didn't happen, everyone bought one..so AE wins in the end..even tho they stole the design and take full credit for the car

Is there anything that would be considered a Factory Works box art paint job?

Will Jeff get a cut of the proceeds since they stole his design?
From what I understand, AE won't even give him a thank you, nor even a discount code for their kit of his own design. Chinese AE can suck on......
The folks in the US are perfectly capable of sending a formal, or at least heartfelt, thank you, and gifting a kit. It ain't a China problem.
The point is, Chinese owned AE is no longer the same AE we'd all like to remember.

I would consider an RC10 4WD painted like this to be FW box art:

Definitely this
The most important person in the USA in regards to AE basically told me that TT do what they want and AE is left sucking hind tit.

I'm thinking I see the best 4wd ever made in Blue there by AE, cough, Yokomo.
So in the case of the RC10 4WD, AE is not doing a re-re of a kit, rather they are doing a re-re of a concept. That concept being the marketing of someone else's 4WD buggy as their own.
AE 4WD buggy designers:
Yokomo
Jeff
Jeff is in pretty good company!
Someone in the yokomo thread and history section said 870C was designed by Gil Losi Jr. Have not been able to confirm though. Either way, good company.

Not to be blunt, but said person could have found another company or job long ago if they were really upset about it all (It 's been 25 years after all). No free hall pass here.

Oh I don't think they are unhappy at all, I think they cash the checks just fine and can place all the blame to TT for things they want to avoid dealing with

I get it, I sold my soul long ago to hold down a career like many.
What happened to you here sucks the big one, but I wish I could be more surprised. Business is shady 99.9% of the time whether based here, there or elsewhere.

Somehow I doubt that this project came on the TT radar all on it's own. The kit was a niche interest in an already small community.
Next we will see boxed official rc10b1.5's. Perhaps an ultramolded AE rc10.

I wish someone offered me enough money to sell out. Than again I would have have enough money to treat people right.
Most business is done fair and does treats people right. The people like try to make it seem like everyone is crooked but that isn't the case. Business at most levels require a large degree of good behavior and trust to happen.
I mean 99.9 of the time when a car is in for a repair does the shop swap out the engine block for a worse one? When you deposit money in to a bank do they even 0.1% of the time pretend that they didn't get it?
AE did a sh*t thing. Even if they do it all the time it isn't normal business. I'm not buying or gifting any more kits from them.
