I was debating making a part 2 to my video to address a few things. The CVDs being one, and maybe a few detail RougeIV mentioned like removing the ano on the back end of the nose plate. But also in regards to the gear cover.
No, the stock cover will definitely not fit a Hydradrive, nor will the one in the kit. I'm pretty sure I was told this, he actually used 2 of the stock AE gear covers. trimmed the tapered and ribbed section off the one that mounts to the motor plate, trimmed another to extend that section, and glued them together.
I need to look into that more...
While looking for something else I came across Vintagemishal's thread about the MIP car resto that also ran a Losi Hydradrive. This is likely what most of the RC10 drivers were doing when adapting the hydradrive at the 93 worlds.

looks a little better with strapping tape.

Making progress on mine. I have some of the small nylon nuts for the shocks on the way and some of the small goldish AE locknuts. Have to take the nose plate off again to grind the anodize off the back part of it. Shaved the rear arms down today but waiting on some of the old RC10 hinge pins to ship for those. Among other things.
A couple of my turnbuckles were packaged wrong so I ordered some FAN RC ones today.

Unless I missed it, one small thing left off the list are the black e-clips. The kit comes with the chrome ones.
Is there a way to buy the correct black shock parts? I looked at the re-re DS shock parts on Amain and they don't appear to be black.
EDIT: Never mind, it appears Fan makes some and I was just overlooking them.

I'm going to mention this loudly:
The BOX ART is not correct!!
There I said it. Biggest take-away here with the paint is that the drips on the actual car are much shorter, Also there are 7 distinct blue fields on the car. 1 Central and 3 on each side of it, decreasing in width. The lower ones only have around 1/4" visible from how the body was cut.

I think he ran a mix of e-clips, where he actually used them. The front kingpin and outer arm pins he used silver ones, or well worn black oxide ones. He didn't run any clips on the inners of the front arms I don't think he had a clip on the botton of the kingpins and I have a feeling he was running the Losi "Pro" aluminum front axles or something similar with the 5-40 set screw that holds the kingpin in place.
Rear look like black e-clips. at least the ones i can see.
He had Titanium hinge pins throughout, but I think he might have had an issue sourcing all the proper sizes as I see the following in the worlds' photos:
Longer hinge pin from the outer arms for the kingpin.
Longer hinge pins on the rear inner arms. you can see he added some white spacers to take up the slack in the photos at the worlds. unsure how much longer these were or what they were supposed to for.
Updated my main post as well.

Glad I found this forum. When I saw AE released a Kinwald tribute I ordered. Building it this weekend. I read all of Cedric’s thread. Great info as well in this one.

Another thing to add to the list. Rear hub carriers supplied in the kit are 0 deg ones and also have a bit of a green hue to them.
Brian reportedly used 3deg carriers (1.5deg per side) the inner arm mounts are the correct 3deg models (1.5 per side) as well for a total of 6deg of rear tow in. The inner mounts were installed in the forward position (short wheelbase)

I did that on accident one time (grabbing parts out of the box). It looked kinda weird.
That particular buggy had the mounts in the LWB position, the dogbones were at nasty angles.

Pretty sure this was the heatsink BK used on the Novak 410-HPc. I remember seeing them back in the early 90's, but haven't seen one since. Looks like he just shaved the top of the hexagon off.
