Ok, thanks. Thats what I figured. I wanted to trim the excess material off of the nosepiece before powder coating and wanted to be sure before I messed it up.

Guys, I need a little help with my OIN build. I'm in need of Turnbuckles.

It turns out I'm building the long lost twin of 8rad's car and didn't even realize it.

Anyways, I asked him what he used. He seemed to remember ordering Lundsford turnbuckles for a JRx-pro that fit great, but he wasnt sure.

This is what he said:

"If I recall correctly I used a set off my JRX-Pro. I ordered those specifically for the Pro.
So it would have been 1-1/2 inch for suspension front/rear and 1-7/8 for the steering.
I think the lengths were good with RPM cups. May want to ask in the OIN tech thread to confirm this. This is all going off my very bad memory."

I'm using Dynatech arms and I too will be using RPM cups but I havent received them yet...anyone know for sure if these lengths are what I need?

Working on a new build...10T front bulkhead, shock tower and shocks with the Klein arms up front...2 questions...

What is everyone using for lower spacers to mount the shocks to the Klein arms...the stock swivel ball is too wide for the Klein arms. Also, did you guys clearance the Klein arms to allow for the 10T aluminum support bar or did you just go w/o it?

I used shock parts from a B4.2 shock for the front swivels and I put the support bar in the holes above the arm pins:

Thanks for the kind words! I hope to enter my car into the "Build of the month" one of these months...I may have to hire someone to paint the body though.

The parts you linked are correct. You'll also need some spring cups like these:

I think the standard RC10 ones will hit the A-arm at full droop.

Now that mine is done, I figured I'd add it to the list. Not much to mention that others already haven't, except that it has:

*Custom G10 chassis
*Mid motor
*RC10GT transmission
*Modified motor plate
*G10 nose tubes
*Carpet tires
*B44 CV shafts, w/truck stub axles.

and of course;

*Klein arms front and back
*Klein rear bearing carriers
*Truck front end
*Various aluminum bits
*Tall front shock tower
*Truck front shocks

I didn't want to go crazy on it since I actually use it on tracks. No shelf queen here.

Had to change the front wheels, as they were rubbing on the a-arms, but otherwise this car handled great on the carpet track. I didn't race, just practice though. The front tires in the pic are like velcro on carpet.

Lots of good info here. It looks like people have used both b4 and b44 cvds with long klein/rpm arms and fairly stock geometry otherwise... do both work?

B44 cvds require some shimming adjustments with the hub carrier, the rpm one or losi/cw. The b4 is few mm longer so you need b4 hub carriers and some shimming.

2700 Klein Rear Replacement A-Arms available here:

Fronts - 69.5mm end to end. 61.5mm pin to pin

Rears - 71mm end to end. 64.5mm pin to pin.

Sold individually. Require some dremel work to get things to fit right.

This started out as an RC10T that I raced on carpet when I was 10 years old. Fast forward 27 years and I’ve gotten back in the hobby (after a 20+ year hiatus) and decided to convert it to an RC10 buggy. Then I was made aware of the WOIN (what’s old is new) approach 🤯 by DaMan, who generously helped me figure out what parts I could retain from the RC10T and what I needed to purchase.

FRONT END
-Dynotech Klein arms
-RC10T nose plate, bulkhead, shocktower, shocks, steering knuckles, and axles
-Hot Racing servo saver horn
-Dhawk aluminum bell crank (had to do some filing to take slop out.)
-JConcepts RC10 classic front wheels
-JConcepts Rips 2.2" tires

REAR END
-Dynotech Klein arms
-Dhawk aluminum rear arm mounts
-RC10T hubs
-B44 CVA’s and axles
-Traxxas Bandit rear wheels had the perfect offset to bring the width to 247mm (250mm is the legal limit)
-Raw Speed RC SuperMini 2.2" tires
-RC10T shocks shimmed 7-8mm under the shock piston to decrease droop

BODY
-Rear wing mount utilizes RC10T body mount brackets, and front body mount risers (with the nubs ground down a bit and drilled to accept screws going down into them), and a custom made 16 gauge steel brace.
-The front wing is for a new Losi buggy’s mounted on a custom made 16 gauge steel brace/mounting bracket with an angled shim.

ELECTRONICS
-JX low profile servo
-HW justock 17.5t motor and xr10 esc
-Traxxas soft battery fits in stock battery tray
-Jconcepts Detonator body

MISC
-Lunsford Racing titanium turn buckles
-RPM ball cups
-Teampiccomx RC10T chassis skin off eBay
-custom made steel rear bumper
