I'm doing my part to have enough fat on, trust me!!!!

Let me know if it is wanted.
Pretty please?

OK, let me get this right the first time.

I got this from the GF, she got it from a co-worker. There are a few variations, but this is what she buys and makes.

I have helped make it, I have watched her make it, I have tried to help make it with my twist and she always says.... No get the F out of here, I am making it the right way.

OUCH! My kitchen and I get booted. I just grab a beer and go see the new posts on RC10Talk.

Use fresh veg if available. Corn, chiles, peppers, cilantro of course.

One can of black beans. Drain and rinse well.

One can of corn, one can of green chiles. (Find them in the taco section/area at the grocery store).

One jar of roasted red peppers, chopped really well.

One can of diced tomatoes, (olive garlic flavor) Or one can (same size) of fresh diced tomatoes, that is what we use. Fresh from my Mom's garden.

Four green onions, diced. One small red onion, diced. Large red onion is better.

1-2 tablespoons of minced garlic, be a MAN and add 3-4 whole chunks, diced finely. The fresh garlic will not over power the rest of the veg. The more the merrier!

One bunch of Cilantro, this can be strong. She adds a half bunch. I added a whole large bunch of Cilantro and it was great.

Season with fresh cracked black pepper and a pinch of salt. I do not use salt very much but this helps bring out the moisture and flavor of all the veg.

The pepper is something that adds depth of flavor, add it. Salt occurs in everything we eat, I do not use salt on a regular basis, in this case it helps the veg combine.

Make this and let me know what you all think.

I can add the name brand and such of all the canned goods if needed.

So freakin great when served with Tostitos Scoops, or kick it up a notch and use Tostitos Hint of Lime chips. The lime flavor sets it off.

I bet it would be just as great served with some dry bread/day old bread and red/white wine of your choice. Cheese on the side of course.

If you make this and don't eat all of it that day, stick it in the fridge and the next day drink the juice that has accumulated. So tasty!!

I hope you guys enjoy this. Game day treat with cheese on top, morning breakfast for the non meat guys. Something to have to get you back on schedule. (can't believe I said that).

On an Incredibly Serious note....

That chicken looked great Thumbs, that Bean Salsa recipe sounds fantastic. The wife loved the smoked turkey so much, we did it again last weekend. 2 weekends in a row I got to smoke chicken and turkey. My kids roll their eyes now as we start talking about what we are smoking next :) And I have been given the green light, Smoked Turkey for Thanksgiving is ON.

Oddly enough...and I am not one to shy away from deep fried almost anything...I've had DF Turkey, didnt impress me. Not enough to drop the dough needed to get the equipment to do one either.

I hear ya, smoked turkey on it's own is so so tasty. Especially done at home.

Thanks for the recipe Dave. I'll definitely try it out. Made Bacon wrapped lil' smokies with brown sugar. They were as good as they sound, but next time I'll baste them with pineapple juice or a sweet BBQ sauce instead of brown sugar. Maybe even Buffalo sauce. They needed some acidity. Still a winner though. I was practicing tonight since all the holiday parties are coming up fast.

Practice makes perfect. Imagine if we drove our RC10's like we cook.

Those look great, how was the taste of em?

I agree, substitute the brown sugar with something way more savory and you will have a winner.

They were good, but like you said will be better with a nice sweet BBQ sauce or something. I'd actually prefer Buffalo sauce, but my wife already says I use Buffalo sauce on too many different things.

Had some bacon left over so I fried it up and then threw in some broccoli. It was really good. It kinda looks like it's swimming in grease, but that's actually just moisture from the frozen broccoli.

My favorite leftover turkey dish. Turkey, bacon and cheddar with Sriracha mayo.
