This week I started into my winter build. So far, it is an axle, a body, and some wheels. And since then I have decided to scrap the wheels. Seems like a perfect start.
But what happened with the Amazon gift card!!??

Wondering if anyone can help me out here.
Were you able to resolve the missing numbers conundrum?

Sorry about that. The Amazon card is still unsolved.

I have tried what I thought of, what you guys suggested, and nothing. If it is an additional digit to the left, the possibilities become too much for me to try. It seems I can attempt the code an endless number of times, but each time I try, I have to type in one of the "security, not a robot" things with 6 characters that are very hard to read. So, it is a little process.
The card was bought at a retail store, so I can't go through Amazon for credit. They do offer this if it was bought through them.

If you didn't purchase it yourself, you might try returning it to the person who gave it to you. If they still have the receipt, the number will be there OR there will be a confirmation number that it was purchased and activated. Both of these would help you. Another possibility is that the place of purchase may be kind enough to either refund or issue a replacement, with original receipt of course.

In my Amazon account, gift cards claim codes are xxxx-xxxxxx-xxxx (14 characters)

I have the receipt with activation number, and I can read that whole number on the card, and Amazon can't do anything with it.

There is also supposedly a 16 digit code on the card somewhere that I could use to verify it, but I don't have all of that either. Their only advice was to go back to the retailer, which I will try. I'm not sure how that will work unless they have some means to check and see if this card has been used or not, which I don't think they will. I will give it a shot though.

Anybody remember the old thread around here that was something like, singles or parts match or missing one? It was a thread where you post a picture of a one of a pair/set of parts, and maybe somebody has the match... Kind of a jokey thread but also kind of serious..

that thread got used quite a bit. Got tons of singles myself again with the last couple years of 'lot' buys. Have no time to find it or add to it but it was a great idea.

How many of them are buried in the back 40? Asking for a friend...

I do, and looked for it a bit but couldn't find anything. Could have been inadvertently removed over the years.

I think it might have been in the B/S/T area and might have had a shelf life? It was a good thread, we should probably start another one. I'll have to see if I have any singles to match. Pretty sure I have a couple of wheels that I thought were a pair but are actually different.

It might've been in the bst area and gotten autopruned...
