Well, I haven't worked on this car much lately. It's 90% complete and almost all white parts and new white parts. I've been too busy with other projects and there have been a lot of members here building TRX-1's so it kind of got put on the back burner for a bit.
I did manage to put some paint down this weekend, it's nowhere near perfect. But this was my first time airbrushing in about 6 years so I'm happy with how it turned out. This will be a runner so I didn't try to go old school, I just put my racing colors on it.

Very nice, Mark! I too have a Pro-X body from Brandon going on my TRX-1. It won't look like yours though by a long shot.

I've trimmed the body to sit as low on the chassis as possible. I made a custom front body mount to lower the nose (since I didn't have a stocker)and I have hacked the body off at the rear tower, which is a polished Bullet unit so I need to come up with a custom rear body mount. Still thinking about that. I'm not quite ready to post pics of mine yet - needs some final trim work. Good job on the paint!

It's been a few months since I worked on this car, but a race in GA coming up has sparked my interest so I decided to change up the TRX-1 a little bit.
I was comparing the Traxxas to my Losi Pro-SE and started thinking about how cool it would be to have a plate graphite racer with better suspension than what traxxas came up with.
The front end almost bolts right onto the trx1 graphite chassis. After trying a few different caster blocks and spindles, I settled on TRX3 caster blocks with trx1 spindles and losi aluminum axles. I need to cut a new steering plate and get some new rod ends. Other than that the front end is pretty much done.
I'm going to leave the rear end close to stock, I need to cut a shock tower out of fiberglass and get some modern 2.2 inch tires on there. I have a plan and if it works out, I'll post pictures when it's done.
Anyways enjoy the pics of how she sits right now

I used a kyosho pro-X black GRP tower on mine, just had to drill 2 extra holes in it.

I'm not sure what I'm going to run at the VONATs Freddie, but I'm hoping to run this car at the Georgia State Champs next weekend if I can get some rear tires and wheels by then.

Mark, why a fiberglass rear tower? Is the CF one too brittle? You can get the FRP ones from Traxxas still, right?
Hope to see it on the track this weekend. You going to be a busy person!
