check out the last post in the thread bimdapogs linked to in his previous post. It allowed for some roll to ensure the front wheels stayed in contact with the ground. A roll bar is necessary to keep it from flopping around.

I tried Ultima universals in the front and the axle is too short. If you have a minute could you measure the lenght of the axle? I want to buy a set but I I must make sure it's the right one.

I understand from your pict that you are not using the oneway bearings in the front?

Forgot to ask. Do you use a cross pin in the front to hold the wheel?

Ha - found it, thanks.

That's why one-ways and spools work... rear swaybars help too  that's funny, when I looked at the pic I thought "my god this must be working like a front monoshock"... ;)

Technology has come quite a way, eh?

I'll measure it up for you when I get home tonight. This setup still uses the one way hubs, it just rides on the axles. There is no cross pin.
The axles are almost too short, you can see here it almost didn't touch the nylon part of the nut. I personally don't know how it held up during races, it already had it when I got the car..

Mike Dunn may have used different axles. His look different. And I think I remember he mentioned in this thread he made custom unis.

The previous owner of my radiant might have just tried to copy Mike's and went with what he had (he had a few Mids and a Lazer ZX).
