I don't know what the prices are now but they used to be reasonable. I haven't played around with it in a few years. I would think that their cnc machining costs would be the most expensive. Even if it does cost too much it would still be a good resource to have other simpler parts made. Like ones that can be stamped out for example.

I agree, laser cutting is much cheaper then CNC milling!
The price usually sky rocking when you only fabricate 1 or 2 parts! But drops dramatically when you order 10-20 pieces!
I’m looking for A-arms in aluminium to the Ultima, but I’m not prepared to pay 200$ But I gone download the CAD program on the web site and try it out for my A-arms. Then I gone ask for a price, then I know! 8)

A front bulkhead would be awesome. The original has some serious weak points where the screws go into the holes. The plastic is too thin and easily breaks. Of course, the standard fix was to use longer screws and a locknut.

The fabled 2WD Optima has arrived! Very nice job on that body...is that a wing wire you added to the shock tower? Interesting idea. I've always thought the original Optima body was one of the nicest designs ever made. You gotta love the little details like the roof scoop, body scallops, hood snorkels, vent depressions by the rear shocks, louvers on the rear surface...all those details make it such an interesting body to look at and tricky to paint. 8)
