Yay! Are you going to require provenance for those who might wish to obtain these items?
I am not sure what you mean but I might have some spares to part with...there have been some hic ups though for example I made 8 pairs of the spring cups only to find that dogbones dimensions must be wrong!
I'll probably have a few spare battery straps and tranny braces aswell, not sure if I have enough GRP for more shock towers though...

Sorry, by provenance I mean show proof of ownership of a suitable Edinger car...
I'm in for straps and a tranny brace, and a pair of spring cups once they're sorted. You know those cups were not fitted to the front, right?

It depends which pics you look at doesn't it...
I thought that's what you meant by provenance...but I don't mind it would be up to you what you did with them...
BTW why can't my pc save pics from RC10talk today? It won't save them as jpegs?

Ooh I forgot about the box pics...

I was going by the last few "actual" cars that we've seen which only had them on the rear. I know a lot can happen in 23 years... doh!

Mine said it was being saved as a jpeg and then when I went to the folder to open it it was in a random format which wasn't a picture...bizzare, I just screen shotted it so no problem just strange...

So I built this up again with loads of white parts I have received as extras in lots and ones I just had lying about (for example the CRP octigrab rear tires, so cool

) and it's turning out to look quite nice, imo. I am particularly proud of my homemade front sway bar. Woot!
Parts to complete this car including MIP diff. reconditioning kit.
Also in the pics is the new Protech body (cheers Mrlexan) which just needs to be cut and painted!
Any suggestions for paint ideas? I wanted to do this paint scheme but don't know what colours it is (from the RC10 manual backcover)...
BTW thanks to Tad for the alloys RPS Losi wheels!
See that hole in the top of the MIP tranny? That's where my home made 4wd kit goes! Pics soon!
Nice home-made sway bar, if I do say so myself.
The bottom is still rubbish

Maybe it could be re-anodized
I really hope to finish this soon, but I fear it may be a long ongoing project it just has so much to tinker with. Things to come, 4wd, early repro parts kit, excitement, etc.
Enjoy!

Well I added some new front and rear tires and have a junk shell from a lot so now this baby is pretty much ready to rock. I'll show pics of the 4wd kit when I install it in the next couple of weeks. It is otherwise finished for now though, just need to add the elctronics and paint the shelf shell. Woot!
Just to recap here is the before pics from the first page, nothing has been replaced only cleaned if it worked (from memory only the outer wheel caps and the front ones were cracked through).

It looks awesome Doc. I like its "used" aspect, it really adds some chararcter to it. Looking forward to seeing those home made 4wd parts

Thanks a lot mate, considering the rusty, painted, glue covered mess it was when it arrived I think it came out looking great. I am really happy with it and it just shows what a good clean and some new tires can do.

I love those front tires Ed! They look sweet on those aluminum rims, along with the rest of what you did with that 10.
Awesome Job!

Thanks dude, I really like those tires too. I think they are Schumacher 3 pin copies. Do you have anymore btw?

Ok...
This is just the first mock-up and I am still working on it but it all came together pretty nicely.
My idea was to build a 4wd RC10 which could have been made at the time and with parts from other cars around during the period (mainly the YZ834B) which I could happily bash about. Please excuse the 2.2 YZ10 wheels, they were what I had to hand..anyway I'll let you know how it goes...if only my batteries hadn't died I might have been able to spin the wheels this weekend.
Oh one last thing...can people comment on how the front drive ratio will turn out like this, please? I was tired and can't get my head round it. Will the front wheels be going fastest?
