Still when ive got the chassis im going to do a step by step build on my car which might be of interest as its got a lot of new bits.

I am looking at possible modern alternatives for the CVD's which I would like to equip the car with at all four corners. Does anyone know of a modern and readily available alternative? There is no way I'm gonna pay 50 to 70 bucks for a new pair of Ultima/Optima/Lazer CVD's... Or maybe someone has spare used ones in good condition?
The only thing refraining me from starting the rebuild right now is ordering the missing carbon bits from Fibre-Lyte, otherwise I have every single bit to make it a true shelf queen. This will be a beauty once done, but for me most of the fun is about chasing old hop-ups, new in bag replacements, tearing and cleaning apart then rebuilding it bit after bit. Once my projects are finished, I tend to put them in storage and scarcely drool at them, that's when the fun is gone So the longer it lasts, the better (hint at Jason who is certainly reading this the second after it has been posted given that he must be Kyosho's fan number 1...)

Kosho USA still sells the W5061 stock rear version.

I know its expensive but less slop is noticeable. If anyone interetysed please see

LA231 is 68mm long (coloured Black)
LA232 is 65mm long (coloured Black) - Longer front long one
LA245 is 62.5mm long (coloured Silver) - Is this the rear one?
LA257 is 73mm long (coloured Silver


The LA-232 is correct for the front
The LA-245 i have bought those and they are the same as UM510 ie they have the long axle with the 62.5 bone. However if you get the UM ones they come with a sleeve to make it shorter but it wont fit with the hexes that you and i use so you need the VZW-10 ones.

So for the rear on my lazer what i have done is gotten the 62,5 bone and the LA-231.02 axle. It makes everything easier.

My chassis is being made this week and gone for a different weave just for fun.

Ok well heres an update for you. Hopefully two weeks time the tub will be ready to buy. Mines just come off the mold and being cut next week for my test build and if happy its available for everyone. This time my mold wont go walkabouts but design is the same as my original one.

Also found the design to the saddle holders (thought they looked familiar) and am redesigning for lipo. You will be able to buy both thru fibrelyte within two weeks.

Very interested in the tub chassis! Ive got 2 more lazers in pieces and quite sure at least 1 of them needs a carbon tub chassis! I may be contacting Fibre-lyte regarding some tomy and mid parts too.

Price will be around £120 mark. People may think its expensive but as they are all hand made and cant be done any other way its rather good value. The mold is taken from the original and very first tub chassis ever made so dont be fooled by Com Com etc as they all bought from fibrelyte.

Looking forward to seeing progress on this build.
I've got one of these tubs too which I have dummied some parts onto till I figure out exactly what direction I take with it

Will do. Should be getting it mid week so possibly wednesday. Ive done a slight change to the very first chassis only on my design which never got sold to anyone and all ive addd a few holes mid chassis as well as move a few on the outer to use my design lipo tray. Its got more weight dustribution than any other. You can have cell hole brass weights, another plate ontop plus trf511 brass weights added dead centre so a lot of thought went into it. When i get it i will post some pictures before, with lipo tray and fully built.
