pc7. i haven't tried it yet, but i have used it on other stuff (real car related). after it's sanded, and the sealer i use is applied, it looks the same as the automix stuff. durability wise, i don't know how it'll hold up to say a ripped out arm mount, and i can't really say how strong the automix stuff is either because i really never put anything i've used it on through it's paces. it's great for what it was meant for, bonding quarter panels and door skins on real cars. fixing graphite, don't know...

Looks really good Jason, nice salvation! I would like to give a new shine and get rid of a few scratches on 2 comcom chassies (inside the tubs especially) there are pics of them in the (ahem!) Kyosho and Yokomo forums. What would you recommend to do? Sanding and then some sort of clear coat? I am in Europe as you kow we don't get the same products...

i don't know about the comcom cf, but on the fusion tub, you have to be careful how much you sand on them. it doesn't take much to get down to the fibers and you end up with a hairy lines all over the place.

as for clear, a matte finish or maybe a semi gloss would work alright. depending on the brand and type of paint, you could end up with different sheens. spray a couple test panels to see which one you like the best.

i use a clear sealer, actually an adhesion promoter for plastics made by dupont. it's very thin, goes on quick and even, and dries to a nice sheen. it also doesn't add much weight to the part either.

nah, not yet. i have some other crap in dealing with right now so it's kind of the last of my worries. i have a feeling it'll cut get, though. unless i change my mind.

narrowing the nose was the first thing i did (page 1). easiest way to fix the damage was to just eliminate it.

how nervous do you think he'd be doing that?

started throwing some parts at it tonight. i cut down one of the c.c. worlds towers (frp copy) i have because i want to run .71's up front and don't want excess tower sticking up. i added another mounting point to the outside , but i probably should've put it up a little higher. ah well......... we'll see if it even stays on the car as i move forward with it. on to the pics.

good work, im always too scared of a mess up to cut a chassis . did you think about cutting off the back end and running the alloy motor guard? i just think if you do that then you will have a mint chassis.
