GreenHell wrote:Anybody else here following Hot Rod Magazine’s Drag Week Coverage? It’s a pretty cool race program, 5 tracks, 5 days in 1500 miles. The cars must be driven on a predetermined route with check points, no support vehicles allowed. The unlimited class is in the high 6 second zone.
I’m thinking about doing this next year depending on what region of the country they select to do it in.

Well, I didn't make it to vegas for the Street Car Supernationals this week, but....if anyone is bored in their hobby room and needs something to listen to..... Check out Bangshift.com or Ustream on your mobile for live coverage (qualifying Saturday and eliminations Sunday)
There have already been a couple records shattered in qualifying
Almost as good as being there, without loosing money at the tables!

Kenny Delco the 1990 Gatornationals Pro Stock champ is my "uncle in-law". That's my only connection to drag racing. He is a super cool dude. A "give you the shirt off his back" kinda guy.
I had a '69 Super Bee with a 383 Magnum for a few years when I was young, dumb, and full of big ideas. I sold it for $650.00 to a better home. It was pretty beat, but it ran!
Whenever I see clean shops with fast metal, I get a little misty eyed. Nice rides, guys!
