When you dont get any auto emails from Ebay from your saved searches because you already have just about everything and every little obscure part you are looking for obviously doesn't exist anymore..

When your post man says "Hmm, 9 scanned today, that is a new record for ya."

When your man cave has one single cow trail going through the middle of it.

When everybody at work knows to save the empty copier paper boxes for you.

When you build a 10' X 20' lofted barn, insulate it, and heat and cool it to prevent rust and corrosion. (I live in the south)

Now those useless plastic caster wheels the larger storage bins come with are piling up. Who has room to wheel their stuff around

In a loving way, your wife suggests you need a less expensive hobby.

It could be alot more expensive. You could be into giant scale planes like me. My wife doesnt mind the cars but she hates the planes. She doesnt like it when I spend a year or more on building one plane when I could spend that time with her. Not to mention the super hi cost of building them.

I did it again. On Tuesday, I said to myself I need more Deans connectors. So I ordered 10 pair on ebay. Just now, I'm looking at my purchase history and on Jan 10 I ordered 5 pair. I shouldn't need any for about four years now.

Lol, there are some good ones in here!

My contribution, related to parts hoarding. You find something you like, for instance aluminum parts by atlas so you buy a few extras just in case they become scarce. Then you have extra parts you bought, NEARLY enough for another car, so you buy more parts to (someday you keep telling yourself) complete that car. Trouble is you buy extra parts to complete that car and again end up with extras, perpetuating the sequence of insanity.

Add to this, situations like parts that were available a year ago but abruptly the supply dries up for, increasing your tendency to hoard even more! Examples: atlas, trans cases by 300SD, dynotech arms, etc.

Sheesh, I am a total nutter.

You pick up a lot of parts for one car, and that lot contains a cool aftermarket hop-up for another car you don't have yet. Guess what? Now you have to have that car too.
