I made a little progress on it. I wanted a almost total aftermarket race ready Jrx2. so I used Robinson Racing side mounts, custom made blus battery pad, and RPM shock mounts, Front arms, rear links, and gear cover. I have a real nice Vintage JR Python AM Radio I am installing it so it can be RTR. I havent decided what transmission to use.
What do you think?
Stock LRM
Retro Fit
MIP

I am also thinking of dyeing the bulkhead and Robinson mounts Black the white and bare fiberglass dont look great to me?

I'd say dye them unless you put a few more blips of white in. Say some rpm rod ends all around? Myabe dye them blue? You probably have to levee those F/G side mounts in the broth for awhile though... Looks REAL nice Rick!!

thanks I really like its the only Jrx2 thats blue in the world that I now of. I didnt just want another boxart X2.

though I am thinking of painting it box art but blue to replace the red. I think the blue and yellow would look great. my be even something like a Junior 2.

they make alloy sterring but the problem is the holes in the chassis take the 8/32 screws same as the bulkhead. the alloy ones take the stock 440 ones. so thats why I went with the heavy duty RPM ones. I have never seen any alloy rear hubs for the 5 link, I have seen them for the H arms, If they did I would get them for this.

X2

An "Interpretation" of box art sounds like a cool idea.

Wake up in the morning got the yearning for LOSI PORN!!!

She looks great man!

another vote for possibly blue dye the bulkhead.

But not to contradict others I still think elements of clear through the body paint should show off your very unique set up. On a side note that blue attracts white at least on the bodypaint..so its possible a paint scheme with some clear maybe in the center and white and blue on the sides could match that white bulkhead and combo them kinda nice. If not that what about box art with blue and white instead ?....the yellow is just so tiring to see cause its even on the stickers i think. Imagine some custom white lettered stickers instead? got a graphic stickers shop around you?

Thanks for those awesome shots. Im inspired to go to work on my gal.

yeah, keep the white and add white sliders and maybe ball cups to give a 'three' color presentation.

Sharing is caring...talk about those blue side mount bolts I see they are also on the rear hubs....they're a nice size. Would they hold the side links from coming off if they came out the ball studs?
How many builder smurfs have died building you these specialty parts?
Are you yourself a gargamel descendant?
inquiring minds want to know!

That's looking nice, Bear....I agree with most of the others, I'd dye those white and light grey parts. I'm all for a nice, consistent color scheme, for the chassis as much as the body. 8)
