A good sitcom back in the day was Soap. The first few times we watched it we thought WTF? But after you picked up on the way the show was being written it got to be funnier than heck.

Soap was OK but IMHO, you just can't beat British comedy. Well, the Canadians are close. But British humor RULZ!!!

Anything Rowan Atkinson
Monty Python (of course)
Benny Hill
Black Adder (see Rowan Atkinson)

The list goes on and on.

Well, I have to go teach a class, so I will quit hi-jacking this thread. Later Gators.

Loved Benny Hill, not fond of the others.

Benny and the old guy are sitting in a nursing home debating the spelling of womb. The old guy says W-O-O-M-B, Benny says W-H-O-O-M. The nurse walks in and says, "no, it's W-O-M-B", to which Benny replies, "no, when an elephant farts it goes WHOOOOMM!!

Soap was great... Chuck and Bob (Jay Johnson) were on CSI recently... the season finale, I think. We went to see the latest Mr Bean movie last night...not great, but a few choice scenes. I was never a big Black Adder fan...

I love the MR. Bean shows. I watch him do a stand up one night where he was air drumming. Funniest thing I ever saw. He is truly a comedic genius. I think this is it, I have not watched it yet:

Yep, that's it.

Tadracket, if you like british comedy try and find the League of gentlemen series 1,2,3. you need to watch them in order or they wont make sense. extremely dark and wierd, very offbeat humour. my wife bought me all 3 series for christmas last year, i watched one episode, thought 'huh?' but after 3 i was completely hooked. it's like david lynch does comedy.

I will keep my eye out for that. Ebay would probably be a good place to find it.
Thanks.
