I wish I had a '95 Tower catalog to go back and look. I know mine had an OS 12CZR but I cant say for sure it was a kit supplied engine or if it was part of the ultimate combo deal I got at the time. I wish I still had the red Kyosho duffel bag too.

GS-11 or OS Max .10 engine?
The manual says the .10 class engine is to be purchased separately. But I'd not be surprised if that was only true at the the time the manual was made.
My sandmaster has a sticker added on the box with the type of engine included.
My GP-10 (the offset shaft one) came with a OS Max 10FP-B(K) (I guess the "K" stands for "Kyosho"...) engine and a big sticker on the box instead of the GS-11 shown on the box itself and in the manual. I guess the 12CZR is to the center-shaft car what that OS .10 engine was for the offset shaft car.

Got my body today from TBG
First I will say, the body feels to much higher quality than the first body I bought from them.
Butttt. Not sure why it came in a bluish tint. The body in the ad on eBay shows it in a much more common clear
http://www.ebay.com/itm/150590037792?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2648
Has anyone painted one of these bluish bodies up? Is this going to mess with the finished color? going for the box art image if that matters.

The bluish tint is just a protective film. Maybe they show the body without it on Ebay.

You are correct. I tried picking at a corner before I asked this. Guess I didn't try hard enough
In this case I'm very happy with this TBG body. I hope their quality is like this on all their bodies. I got a couple more I might get now.

EvolutionRevolution wrote:... There is also an optional blue alloy shock tower, but I'm not sure it uses the same design. Body posts typically attach to some of the upper holes on these shock towers. So that leaves "really weird camber link options" and "using shorter rear shocks".

My blue shock towers arrived in the postbox today.
I only had a quick look before I left home, but looking at the pics in this tread I'd say they are the same design... and without the bunch of screws they look even more like swiss cheese

Judging by the tires, it doesn't look like it was run much. I think you got a good deal.

According to the description it was never even fully assembled, and never ran. I should have it tonight. Was hoping it would arrive at work before I left but it wasn't there

Sorted out the throttle linkage and shocks, mounted the wing, moved the exhaust to fit in the body, and tidied up the receiver and wires. Also ordered some new filter foam inserts.
Looking at this takes me back in time to when I was 11-12 yrs old

As the saying goes. "When it rains it pours"
Just got back from my local CL find. Inferno 10 #3
Pretty good shape surprisingly. There were no pictures of the chassis in the ad and the tires made me think it was going to be trashed. I made a deal to take out the CV engine the car had in it to lower the price and he told me he would throw in the original. Bonus score for me. Anyways onto a few pictures before I tear it down to clean it up.
Triplets!!!
