I took the rear dogbones out of mine in 88 and put in a Reedy Gold star... 10 cells with a T1. It was one hell of a ride with those front one way bearings and slicked tires on asphalt..... Its curb demise inspired my running of my original RC12L, I gave up the jumps for wicked speed.
Likely why I can only find pieces of my 834 now.. 10 cells on my 12L was also its demise, not suprisingly in the same manner. Dad didn't let me get another car... and I never went over 6 cells again.

Those are some sweet lookin 834b's! It was watching the Dogfighters running at an indoor track in Denver, back in the mid 80's, that originally fueled my passion for RC cars. We ran on very tight tracks with lots of jumps. I remember when the Yokes came off a jump wrong, they were going so fast they would do endovers all the way down the straightaway! That was probably more of a rush for me than for the guy who had to pay for the broken parts! Yet somehow, I've still never owned an 834b! I've been watching ebay...One of these days!
