Copy that. Clearly he didn't have a pit box full of tuning options at his disposal. I think some if us here could have helped him out a bit there. :D
So what is the story on the lead weight? Add steering? Try to create high speed push? With a 7.0T motor maybe it was just to fight wheelies? Cedric, can you share?

I would love to see a video if anyone can locate one.

I think that's a B44 ballast weight that's supposed to go between a lipo saddle.

I guess when you don't have a cab forward body... . That indoor carpet "off road/minature golf course" racing liberally needs weight I've noticed. They make bulkheads and stuff out of brass. Makes me think of a whole lotta metal build or two 8) .

Fantastic!

I always thought his 93 rc10 was awesome and I built a replica when I was 14.....now doing a Kinwald replica.

Here's a pic of me and Craig at a race I put on in 2007....he had just given me a shower of champagne.

This IS awsome! I spotted that Craig was running his RC10 on a CML facebook update.... whats rather a shame is that the surface is not really ideal for a rear motored car so its not really a fair Old Vs New comparison - but knowing just how competitive the EOS series is it really is some going for Craig to have finished where he did!

Every vintage rear motored 2wd buggy that i've raced in recent times has ended up with a bucket-load of lead weights strapped to the front to try & get some reasonable amount of front end grip - especially when accelerating out of a bend (this is where a mid motor car really trumps the rear motored chassis). Also when running lighter LiPo batteries the correct damping (& springing) for the weight of the car is too light given the grip levels on UK tracks (& the slightly narrower track width doesn't help either), so I have generally placed a battery sized peice of lead plate under my LiPo which brings the weight to around what an old pack of Nicads would have been - this allows me to run set-ups akin to what we would have run Bitd.

I only run a shorty pack in my buggy now, I dont like the way it feels with a full size pack.

After closer inspection, I believe the front wheels are PL B3 Wides. Could be wrong, but thats what they look like to me.
