For runner bodies I would, these shells are hard enough to fit as it is

They both turned out really nice but there's one more thing that I would've fixed up, the lower front guards have bends that could be straightened out with a bit of extra work (or replace with re-release ones). Its something that so many people seem to overlook when rebuilding these things. To go to all the trouble of a resto and leave the lower guards bent really messes with my OCD. (And as mentioned, the sharp cuts in the bodies) Otherwise, great work.

Any chance you took some pics of the Optima body before you put on the decals?

I also think the sharp squared-off cuts are more prone to cracking wherever 2 cut-lines meet, than when the inside corners are rounded out with a Dremel or something. For a shelfer, if the body's rarely coming on & off, it probably won't matter much.

Unfortunately no, the painter applied the decals as well, so only took the pics when he had completed the bodies

Yep they would definitely crack, but these will sit on the chassis' and the shelf just looking pretty
