The hinge pins are a very nice touch!! Can you find them for all four corners?

there is another size 3 x 37mm gold color hinge pins (by Tamiya also)........which can put on the rear outer.......
not cheap indeed...... but they are a good substitute......

Found them both on Ebay. Nice option for the 3mm hinge pins.

When I built mine, I used 3mm shock shafts so it was easy to attach the ti-rod between the A-Arms. I used the std Yokomo threaded ball end. I just threaded the ball end on the threaded portion of the shock shaft and used the e-clip on the other end. Sorry don't remember the part no of the shock shaft, but it was from a Kyosho off-road car. I would think you can find other 3mm shock shafts the correct length.

I have always like the extra graphite near the rear of the car. Even back in the early 90's when I ran the Yok's weekly. I would run the speed control next to the spur gear to offset the weight of the motor some with some lead. You would need to remove the speed control every time you mess with the motor but I thought the car ran better that way. If your running brushless there's very little need to touch the motor/gearing. I know the extra material near the front forced me to run newer body shells and that was something new I never had done before. It would be no problem making any mods people want. I was just using simple aluminum tubes for battery standoffs, that were internally threaded on both ends.

It's been some time since the last update, looking forward to seeing any progress you have made.

Me too. I would like to see a finished version. The chassis and arms look very nice. Wondering how this project relates to stock yokomo models.
