So the servo is solid mounted? Not with servo tape?

Servo posts are much better than tape - velcro for a servo is a definite no-no! RPM make a pair of servo posts and cost next to nothing, part # 70062

Velcro twists. Servo tape twists less.
Screws don't twist at all

That's not necessarily true.

Servo posts that have only a single hole for a screw *can* twist. Ones that have little stand-off posts that insert into a hole, in addition to the mounting screws, won't twist.

Yes, this car was drilled with servo post holes by the previous owner...so I continued that with a pair of posts. No tape or velcro.

Got a TBG jrx2 body & wing in today. Working on masking, planning on matching my ReC10 if I can pull it off

I'm liking that paint scheme idea...looking forward to your color choices.

How do you do it? I mean successfully mask on the inside like that......
Looking good by the way.

That's not the hard part, IMO...it's when you've sprayed the paint, removed the mask, and found paint-bleed in various nooks & crannies, and have to painstakingly remove it.

What are you using for masking?

3m 1/8th vinyl tape and blue painters tape.
I will be mirroring my ReC10 paint, mostly. I wont do the JRX2 roof in black, here was when I was masking my Protech I:
and the colors that I will match (other than the black, like I said):

as I have gotten older...much, much older, I have learned to take my time and do it slowly, pull and move to even them up as much as I can. I havent always had the patience to do it. I truly wish I was better at mixing the paint for the airbrush, I do still rush through the painting itself. Old habits die hard

It was the blue painters tape I was wondering about. I have used the green stuff and it does not create a clean edge.
Thanks for that, I will look into the better tape. I am going to give liquid mask a shot soon as well.
Looks good so far.

Ahh! Our old friend 'patience' seems to be the key.....something I've always lacked when it comes to painting body's with more than one or two colours...
