HI!... I must of got lucky. My hubs were tight and the pin holes were perfect. Actually my whole car was perfect except the body mount posts were about 3/8 too short.

Yup, you must have... well, my shelf queen re-re had no issues with it's bushings and others had size issues. I guess it's hit and miss with the quality.

My next run in with the re-re is the length of the front axles. The are about 0.15mm too long and the wheels are loose when the nut is tight. To maximize my front track I put a body mount washer behind each wheel and everything is good.

I have the sticker sheet, so it's going to look similar to this one below... but better I ordered a front bumper from emerson. I'll be using the vintage looking turnbuckles from Lunsford. I am also using a carbon fibre front tower from JC and steering from JC. A Futaba steering servo, a Reedy brushless system and Reedy LiPo will top everything off

This was a problem back in the day as well. I had to do this to 2 different cars in the early 90's.

It's the first time I've encountered it. What's the most popular fix back in the day?

A little twist on the paint I'm doing.

I ran a steel washer from the hardware store, bitd.

Not that aluminum is bad necessarily but it is a large diameter washer and will rub the sides of the bearing. Ideally a pack of rear axle shims for 3/16 axles would be a perfect fit and run the inner race of the bearing only. Associated 7368

The classic kit doesn't call for a gold #4 washer on the outside like the old kits did. I found that odd and installed some on my classic. I also moved one shim to the outside again so the inner race is all that contacts

I remember just finding some washers that were small enough to ride the inner race of the bearing. Pretty sure it was something I picked up at my LHS. I do not remember what brand though.

I'll see if I can dig up some shims and oil them up with some synthetic lube.

While I wait on parts to arrive in the mail I got the paint done. It's not exactly a replica paint job, but me like, a lot

That looks wonderful! Gently peel the stickers off that wing and save them, before they cure/stick. I have a Kimbrough wing for you that will look even better. I wish you would have told me yesterday what you needed the wing for!

Got home and got the stickers off. Before doing so I snapped a couple of shots of my gold pans with their Protech bodies and small wings. Once I get the re-re runner complete I will do up a proper photo shoot if I can.
