So, what method did you use to remove the blue paint? Or did you replace the blue-painted parts with new parts? If those are the same parts originally painted blue, I'm sure we'd all love to know how you cleaned them up.

I went with gomachv's suggestion and used Super Clean. I didn't replace any parts at all. I'm happy with how its turned out so far...

Thanks, that's good to know. Maybe my bottle of Super Clean will come in handy after all, as it didn't work to strip Pactra paint from an old Optima body.

Decision time. I don't really want to modify this buggy too much, but since I'd like to run a mild brushless,
I'd like to have a slipper. Do I buy an A&L Lethal Weapon, or do what another member did on here and mount a stealth tranny?

A&L is much easier, but a stealth is pretty much the benchmark

This has kind of been on the back burner, but here it is so far. Gotta get new wheels, and I'm still not sure if I wanna get an original style body, or something else.

Looking much less blue

Take a look at the Optima Pro body. They fit well and look great- and keep the bloodline

I recently picked up a losi-xx and test fitted the body on this same chassis. The lower body lines fit the chassis shape perfectly which should help keeping dirt out.
You could even cut a sheet of lexan and fold it at the chassis edges, join the upright parts with a velcro strip and don't need body clips anymore.
