Well, it's pretty much done.
Here's where we started:

- fantom_002.jpg (129.58 KiB) Viewed 3350 times
And where we ended up:

- fan01.jpg (106.84 KiB) Viewed 3348 times

- fan01.jpg (106.84 KiB) Viewed 3348 times
I could put in a crystal and a battery and it's ready to run.
I'll let the rest of the pics speak for themselves. Thanks to Doug for the car!

Absolutely awesome!
You need an Associated TOJ body now!

Looks great temple. I was wondering, do the fantoms have a front diff or a just a spool?

It's two one-ways side by side in the front sprocket. The right axle is only about 1/2" long...

What body are you going to put on it? The chassis turned out really nice

It's got the hammered original body on it currently. I've got a few domestic pulled bodies (parma/bolink/asso/jomac), but nothing really looks right on the Fantom... (Doug, the TOJ won't work due to front body post placement) The chassis part of the project just fell together. I've not had another project car where all the parts just sort of magically appeared in the same month.
Yours looks nice as well, but it needs to have some electrics in it!
Welcome to the forum, your other cars are very nice as well.

Geoff, get yourself a new Spada body. To the untrained eye, it looks the same, at least to me. I am sure you can find one on ebay or ask one of the Far East brothers to help you out.

Jay is for sure the least trained eye when it comes to Lexan

I thought about the Spada body... the only difference I noticed was the hump in the body for the pipe.
I'm patient enough to keep an eye peeled for the correct body though.
