Thanks so much for this scan. So much memories when I used to see pics of some of these cars in I think airborne magazine back in oz when I was growing up.

I was at my favorite hobbyshop last week and picked this same speed control. It had no label on the card so the price was gone. Store owner priced it at $20, I was like, Sold!

Yep. They're from Airborne. I used to look forward to each issues car columns with much anticipation. Good times. :D

Haha yes mate. I remember the only sad part was it was only the back part of the magazine that I used to quickly target. All the rest was filled with planes...

Who was cutting the butterfly chassis plates with the FRP manufacturer's logo printed on them? RCH? I don't think I've seen a confirmed CRP chassis that wasn't plain. I've got a couple green long wheelbase chassis plates with print on them too and always wondered who made them. Was anyone other than CRP and RCH cutting chassis like this? Anyone seen a new in pack CRP chassis with print?

This chassis is shaped slightly different than the CRP I pulled out of original package.

edit: FYI there was VERY old dry servo tape on this chassis plate that I didn't think I would ever remove. I left a rubbing alcohol soaked paper towel laying on it for a couple hours and it scraped right off. Other than that, this chassis was in pretty good condition.

From what I've heard it was RCH who used the G10 with the manufacturers mark on it. I've seen pictures of it on their butterfly and straight cut chassis'. I was talking to a fellow who had a graphite butterfly chassis. He told me that RCH made it but it didn't come bagged with a header card. I'd love to see an RCH dealer catalogue from their early days. It'd be really interesting to see just how many parts they made for the SRBs.

Race prep and Twinn K made long wheelbase wide front chassis'. I don't know if they made butterfly ones though.

What a difference time makes. Darn right it needs a sway bar...

I had a Super Champ that suffered from the same dynamic. I also lived right down the freeway from the RCH shop. There were not a whole lot of parts that were Super Champ specific. JG had this rear cage and bumper...

Love the congrats to Jammin Jay, pre-rc10 btw.

not all CRP,RCH etc was good , most was eye candy.

as a modern hopup this is fantastic.

i have this on all my SRB chassis.
Agree, many were junk only but that was where the 'fun' begin...

That was probably home-cut. I still have a piece of the raw material somewhere. Mine is red copper on both sides. You bought these in an electronics shop fof making your own electroncs printed board: Etching away the area around the paths.

This is from Radio Modeller November 1981.

This mod stops the swing arms from drooping too much and causing massive amounts of positive camber. One other way is to fit droop limiting spacers under the shock pistons.
