All ready to go now, just waiting on the body. It's a pretty tidy truck, just trying to find an original clear lid tank.

Not perfect but still has the right effect, especially for a runner. My sticker guy is pretty unreliable so I'll have to find another source. Just need to cut out the front windshield and some more stickers.

While not a perfect replica it still looks killer. I will send you a pm later about decals.

I broke this out again. I couldn't be bothered spending money on the proper GT stickers so I stickered it up with what I had, 10T decals. It came out pretty good and considering it's not a shelf queen it doesn't matter. I also finally cut out the windows.

It's finally ready to go......

If anyone knows where I can find a clear lid tank or 4-n1 clutch please let me know.

Damn :( I went to run this today and forgot something pretty important. I forgot fuel...... I must have thrown the fuel out that I thought I had. Being a public holiday all the hobby shops are closed so I'll have to wait.

Hmphhh...

I guess on the plus side I found a new earlyish blue OS Max style CV head (not square) for $12.

PM sent.

The black engine head also bugs me, I'm tempted to replace the engine head or buy a back up engine, preferably a .12 CZZ or .12 CV-R

Are you after the blue czz head?

Todd

There is a blue Duratrax head (O'Donnell) for the .15 cv-r on ebay. By the time I land it here it's about $50 :(

If I got a replacement engine I'd shoot for a.12 CZZ or CV-R. The head I bought was for $12 was a .12 head but doubt it will fit the .15, it's the early Max style 5 point head.

I just looked in my sticker stash and I don't even have one! I must have lost them in the fire. I thought they had survived. I was sure I had at least 10 sheets and now I have none! Sorry to get your hopes up! I was sure I had them sorry!

No worries Rod, thanks for the offer :D

Charged up my vintage McDaniel igniter, charged up the truck, busted out my old glow plug driver.

I wonder how many pulls it takes to start.....

Nice truck. Look on eBay for the updated GT/NTC3 tank, it has the original style opaque lid and tank, but it's reverse fill and had the pressure tap on the lid.

On the st-15 body, i believe that body is actually made from the original gt mold. I have compared it to several originals and it is perfect right down to the minor imperfections in the original. The size difference is very minor, each body will fit inside the other, the tower body sits in the original slightly looser. That small of a difference can probably be explained by a difference in material or production process.

I'll have to find someone with an actual picture of an item instead of a generic photo.

 of course it has to rain today :(
