alright, i spent some time installing the radio gear. i scored these pieces a year or so ago on ebay....... dirt cheap. i think the price was just over $10 w/ the shipping for the servo, esc, and the reciever.

they're in near perfect condition, and since this is probably the nicest car i have, i figured i'd use them in this.
the motor/battery leads on the esc are quite short. so when i get some wire for it, it'll be coming back out so i can replace them. i'm still up in the air about what motor i want to put in it, but i have a few different ones to choose from, so we'll see. i still have to attach the linkage from the servo to the bellcrank, but i'm thinking about swapping out the stock one for a houge, so i let that go for now. plus, i think i'm gonna need a couple more new white ball cups. i guess i should check on that.

Wow, and all this time I thought that you were cleaning the 3k weave with a toothpick and it just wasn't ready for a press photo

isn't it funny when some of the last posts of a thread are jokes about something sitting a year or more, then you come back to it 2 years later with a tiny update?
this thing was friggin dusty as hell, so i thought i'd give it a quick cleaning. then i figured i would install new, longer wires on the esc that i threatened to do almost 3 years ago.

and while i was at it, i installed the capacitors on a nip b&r stock motor and put it in the car. i've had a nip s&k 1400 scr match pack (6 loose cells) for a few years now that i'll most likely assemble and throw in the car. i also have to dig up an old style turnbuckle to button up the steering.
i also sold off the sees wheels in favor of stock tq wheels since bling doesn't really do anything for me.
