Team car in hand, Stage 1, remove nice white parts from Team Car. The arms are barely used too :D They need to be whitened though, especially if they are going to be mixed with 3d parts.

I've gotten the Team Car disassembled and picked out the parts I'm using for this build. Here's the spread of parts so far.

I'm thinking about using the Lohas wheel on this build since they have a hex fitting on them...but the B44 hex drive is too small. I'm going to have to figure this out if I ant to have them functional.

For anyone wanting to run a 12mm hex front wheel on a Ten4, you can use this:

I'll have to order that up so I can use the pretty wheels :D

I've made a little progress for now. The parts are all clean, not bleached or anything. I'm going to wait and see how they look with the 3D parts.

Got the stealth trans on the A stamp now too. I didn't realize that the battery cup holes weren't tapered on the A stamp, so I have to get that done too. I suppose at that stage the battery cups ran side to side.

The peroxide treatment went well :D

I used the white RPM gear cover for comparison.

Looks nice, amazing how well that works. Are you going to tint the 3d parts in coffee like others have done?

I don't want to dye my 3D parts. I just want a clean look and with keeping the 3D parts white, the car won't be confused with a vintage kit. I even used reproduced parts on this since it's not an original kit. I purposely want to highlight Jeff and Brian's work but at the sametime make everything flow and blend in  :? :D If any of that makes sense.

On my prototype car, I honestly don't think the "bright white" SLS parts look all that bad mixed with the "tan/yellow/off white" parts at all:

Car looks good, what problems are you encountering? This should be a plug and play type deal.

I need to get one of these.

Okay, got a few seconds now. Yeah, it's pretty much plug and play, just some figuring out on what to place where and when with the front diff/tower/and arm mounts, which I'm sure once the parts are ready for people there will be a "tip and tricks" thread of some sorts.

The only parts that didn't fit are the wing tubes, which you just got to ream out.

The other thing is that I didn't know what bearing to us on the rear bulkhead and what to use for a pin, and bearing for the front tensioner. I didn't ask because I wanted to figure it out for myself :D . I wanted this thread to be informative and permotive. Jeff and Brian have definitely out did themselves on the prototype parts and have even recently improved on them once they have gotten some track time.

I'm just waiting on parts now... almost done.

Here are some build pics. I used a B4 pin for the rear bulkhead pin for the bearings. I had to cut it down but works good.

I didn't take any photos of the wing tube holes and don't feel the need to, just ream them out. The rest has been pretty straight forward
