For an "exact" box art replica there is very little decals on that sheet that will actually be used. Definitely not worth the price either.

True, but he'll at the very least have the correct decals for it. After I posted and looked at his pictures closer I noticed the errors made that can only be fixed by redoing the whole paint job. I myself picked up an NOS decal set for the same thing, a future "TRUE" box art paint job.

Hi,

The truck came out great.

One day you may be able to find a nicer box art body shell to replace this one.

Until then enjoy!

Cheers, Dave. :)

Thanks all. I appreciate the eBay link to the decals. I may pick those up to use on a future body.

I think I will keep this body, and once I find someone who can paint me a 'REAL' box art replica, I can use the OEM decals on that.

I am happy to have my truck finished and looking good. This is something I have wanted to do for a long time, and it feels great to complete it (nearly)

Thanks again all. I am still hoping to get access to the BST section. I am very interested to see what treasures may be in there, lol!

Hi,

Too nice to run!

Shelf it and buy another 10T to make into a runner.

Those white RPM arms are hard to find and when you do see them the seller wants heaps.

Cheers, Dave. :)

Sorry to keep posting on this thread, but I just found these old photos of this RC10T when it was just put together. I was about 12 years old. I wish I still had those original tires, and who knows where the original wheels went. Not sure what I was thinking with the green HPI wheels.
Excellent re-build. Good stuff.

Get these old pics uploaded to the old scanned print picture album:

From the pics, and a few feet away, most people (99% of them), would never notice the mistakes. They aren't that bad, and overall the lid looks pretty nice.

So just enjoy it as is, if you can. I know how it is to be bugged by the little mistakes, I'm OCD that way. If I get stuff wrong on a body, I will usually trash it and start over on a new one, because every time I see it, I get irritated, hehe. If you plan on running the truck, it will get trashed eventually anyways.

Thanks for the advise. I am very happy to have the truck 'finished' and with my recent JRXT find in matching Box Art paint, the two trucks look fantastic displayed next to each other in my home.

Although my RC10T is a runner, I really dont run it. I have for a few minutes in my driveway, but that is pretty much the extent of it. Eventually, I will get a perfect body for it.

Thanks again!

I finally got some proper vintage AE wheels and tires on this truck. Also have all white, original ball cups. The proper wheels and tires look so much nicer IMO.

I also swapped out the numbers of the number plate with custom red highlighted numbers. They match what is on the box art photos, and add a nice touch.

I decided to remove the modern electronics, and set this up with correct era vintage electronics.
