I've really enjoyed watching this car be restored over the years. And I'm not trying to criticize but I thought I'd point out a couple of differences I noticed between the original and your restoration.

The bellcrank on the right side looks different. And the turnbuckles look like RCPS or similar.
Keep up the good work, it looks killer.

Rcps are the same as the classic Lunsford (lunsford supplies rcps) which is still being made...just for future use

Ive read it over as well, cool history! I don't know if it was mentioned, but the rear tires in original picture look like Losi X pattern which IIRC was pretty popular.

You'll have a very hard time finding the same steering rack as the one on Eustace's car. It looks like an early/possibly prototype of the MIP zero maintenance steering that was available until a few years back. The one available was black though with a few differences and I've never seen a white pair...

Hi Hugger,

What a great story and a great rebuild.

Looking at the original, it looks like the nut on the tie rods is on the outside, at the tire end?

:)

Hi Hugger,

Are we looking at the buggy on page 1?

If you look at the right front, you can see the camber link has the nut at the tire end,

and you cannot see the nut on the steering link, which would mean it is on the tire end?

And the rear tie rod nut is on the tire end.

The post where your buggy is above the original, right click the original buggy image and open in a new tab for a larger pic.

:)
