With the camera/lens technology today I think perspective has a much greater impact on the emotion of a picture than the equipment. Not that this pic is testament to that. Just one I happen to have handy from my Samsung point and shoot set to long exposure from a tripod in my driveway during a full moon. Cool thread BTW. I love looking at cool pics.

I second that....
Here's a resident of our back garden.... to get an idea of size, it's a garden glove that he's sitting on....

Here's one that I'd love to have the Photoshop skills to be able to fix up properly....
Slightly basic stitch-up job of two photos, but I still like it!

That's where I currently live, Port MacDonnell, South Australia. The pine trees are Norfolk Pines.
Taken about 50 - 100m from where I'm typing this, on the beach over the road from our house

Here's a shot of the moon. I had to fool around a bunch with exposures until I got it, 300mm zoom lens. The copyright was suggested by a friend, it's not that great of a shot.

That's a great shot of the moon.... although, judging by some of the detail, the phrase "that's no moon.... that's a space station" comes to mind!

Great photo! I could take a photo of the trip to work, but it would just be the hallway between the bedroom and the study / home office

The water was beautiful.
I snapped it from my phone quickly without thought while driving through, hence the huge trees in the way.
