he bought a losi micro t from me and was kinda wondering what parts he used off of it...

It finally came. I ordered it about 2 months ago...

cheers Brian - great review which answered two of my main questions
- how's the controller fitting in an 8y.o. hand
- is it proportional.

I'm actually thinking about setting up a mini-track with jumps so my son and I can goof around with these. How is the "driving" experience, can you actually place the car where you want, or would the driver be "fighting" it to keep it on the "right" line on a scaled-down track?

Great review! Nice job on the video. I have to admit, as much as I had a "meh" attitude about these, that 80's box art body and paint along with the little jelly bean wheels looks pretty damn cool. I'm really looking forward to what you come up with to make these little buggies perform.

The car actually drives pretty nice, I feel like it's pretty predictable and you would be be able to place the car fairly well on an appropriately layed-out track. Of course realizing the limitations of the suspension (or lack thereof up front ). My son and I have been having a really good time with it, and I feel like he's really been able to hone his driving skills with it, which were fairly non-existent before we got this car (the Exceed version). I'm excited that we have two now, since I hardly ever got a turn with the Exceed one
We've made some makeshift jumps and the car actually flys pretty well. And, other than on, say hardwood, where traction is limited, the lack of a rear diff doesn't seem to make much difference. Like I said in the video, if you gun it on a limited traction surface it pretty much just does an instant donut. Which of course can be fun in it's own right.
The durability of the car seems very good. We have done many a cartwheel and other manner of horrendous crash with it and so far so good. Only thing, as I mentioned in the video, is the "creep" in the front suspension over time. I need to start storing mine wheels-up.

Thanks Basher. Soon, I'll start designing a proper front suspension for it, I already have spare rear shocks that I will use in the front, and I plan to have Jeff cut a tiny G10 tower, maybe one for the rear as well. And I'll design a proper rear body mount. And and and... lol

These little shocks on the front of the Kyosho baja bug would be awesome. Availability might be an issue.

I just ordered one last night to go with the 28T I had bought. Havent even opened the 28T yet, They might just both sit in the box on display

Look fwd. to any modifications you may come up with on a front suspension and such.

The baja bugs shocks are not shocks... just springs.

I had some great little oil shocks from 3Racing on my Micro-T bitd - I'm sure these would be great.
