Very cool

Man I wish I had made the A without having to bump....the race you and Mark were having had the WHOLE place on their toes. I've went back on liverc.com and watched it but rhe camera was just too far to see just how intense it was. On to my racing. Let's start with 2wd. I raced a rere Worlds car. Everyone was saying Jconcepts Ellipses were a popular tire there, so I started off Friday practice on greens. As the groove came in I tried a set of lightly used green Dirt Webs and the car felt better. I thought the track could handle a slick. Not a full slick though, so I mounted up a set of green Octagons. The car felt great on them. I was also playing with a couple different FDJ tire sauces across all of my cars. Ended up sticking with the green dot sauce in the races.
For racing on Saturday, I used that same transition. 1st round Ellipses, 2nd dirt webs, 3rd Octagons, and stayed on those in the main. The 2wd field was TIGHT! 11 guys had turned 16 laps. It put me 2nd in the B. I had a bobble in the begin that dropped me to 4th or 5th. I made my way back to 3rd and was driving my ass off to catch the leaders (Reggie - Charlie dont surf was leading), but I was 1.5 seconds behind Mark Baldwin at the stripe for the bump. I was bummed, but I'm glad I had fast, good handling car, and to see my driving consistency getting better. If I can clean up the little bs stuff I'll be in the mix more often.
The car also won best paint in the concourse, which was cool. I would've rather bumped to the A though.
