Is it an oriiginal NIB? Must be super rare these days! I always thought the Turbo Optima was the best looking car, even today. I'm pleased they re-released it, but in my mind the original still has the edge - think its the tyres and shocks on the 80's version that makes the difference.

Yep, original 1986 NIB Turbo Optima, had it for a few years now and got it for a pretty good price. I will be getting a re-release too later on.

Wow! Thanks for the pic - its increbidle that there are some NIB after 33 years, I think it just shows how iconic and memorable these cars are. I restored this one because Kyosho had gone very quiet on the re-re's and I didn't expect the Turbo Optima would arrive anytime soon, or maybe ever. I'd still like to get one though.

Just saw your response (haven't been on here for a while), yea I hadn't seen many when I found this one, got it for a pretty good price too, a lot cheaper than the original Optima NIB that I bought before it. I meant to mention before that I had that magazine but it looks like I must've thrown it and all my old RC car mags out . I posted up more pics of it in a post, click on the links in my sig.
