I am not sure about RC car plastics, but for standard ABS plastics, immersing in Salon 40 with either UV or natural sunlight works wonders. The yellowing (or browning in extreme cases) is the bromine fire retardant separating from the plastic and rising to the surface. Salon 40 provides the oxygen and UV light the "excitement" or movement of the molecules to rearrange themselves.

I posted this because many of you have old 1:1 cars as well as old RC cars :D If you have a Falcon, for example, with yellow dash and window crank knobs, this will fix them. :D Also works on old Nintendo, PC case...

After the new chassis arrived I swapped chassis around to get the „worst“ one for this project.
It is still way to nice, but it’s what I have…
Going to put a chassis protector on there for running.

Came up with some foam thingies…

Rear hubs finished…
As you can see in the background I couldn’t resist putting the first parts on the chassis :D

Put most of the car together. Still need an engine and some parts…

Excellent work. It is coming together very nicely. I have one coming to me this week and recalled having that chassis in my shopping cart. It looks like it went to a worthy build!

Is that the one that ended on ebay yesterday or Saturday, $100.00 plus shipping I think? Only had two bids by the same person. If that's it, what a great deal you got, it looks to be a very nice example. I really really wanted to bid on it, but my rational side held me back.

Those chassis routinely sell for less than $50 shipped NIP. I think it’s the same seller who I bought one from a while ago. There’s one on the bay right now $37.94 plus shipping.

Truck is looking good btw, I like the in progress build pics of nitro cars.

I'm talking about an entire truck, not just a chassis. Just to make sure it's clear.

Yep, totally misunderstood after seeing elkcycle mention having a chassis in his cart. $100 for a complete truck is a much better deal.

100 bucks is a good deal, indeed. Is that with or without engine?
Mine was about half, but of course the engine is junk and I have to sink some money in parts…
Didn’t see the other truck on eBay. Where was it for sale? In the US?

The motor in the pictures said O.S. Max CZ on the side of the motor, if I remember right. My knowledge on nitro stuff is a solid zero. It was up for auction in the US.

I will shoot TBG an email about the process…
Don’t want to pay a fortune in shipping and the end product needs to be perfect if the original body is lost.

Going to post a build-update tonight…
Did you ever get anywhere regarding a repro body with TBG? Perhaps a handful of us here on the forum who would purchase them could also email TBG showing interest for it.
