Also, depending on which holes you put the grub screws, it changes the rear toe. On my Triumph, it's set to 3 degrees. I can't tell from your pics what your toe setting is.

outer - inner = 1 degree
outer - outer = 2 degrees
inner - inner = 3 degrees
inner - outer = 4 degrees

Those front arms are not the same: triumph ones shown have 2 shock mount holes and adams ultima pro 2 (?) have 3 holes.
the triumph ones seem to have a bigger back-sweep too. (This is just looking at the pics, I don't have more to go from).

Is it possible the rear suspension arms are pro 2 also as I thought? I never paid much attention to the triumph arms, but am sure the pro 2 had this type of adjustable arms in the rear. Maybe kyosho just too kthem over.

The Mip style CVD replacement for the UJ's turns out to be an ultima rb5 part UM-??? I think 515, you can find the partnr's in the manual which is downloadable from the kyosho USA site. Their length is 62.5mm.

I was looking around and saw the Ultima II's rear suspension arms with the adjustable toe-in that you're thinking of ED...they actually use a small turnbuckle between each of the eyelets and the arm...kind of like the arms on 8th and 10th scale on road nitro cars.

You're right about the arms, the ones I have aren't Triumph arms. Also, I believe the Triumph has a narrow front chassis to utilize the longer front arms. The back sweep is more as well.

I have an Ultima Pro XL and it does have the little turnbuckle on the rear arms. It's different from the Triumph. Again, the front arms are Ultima also. I can take a pic of those too if you like.

The Ultima RB5 MIP style universals are p/n UM501. They use a crosspin and a hex, so you'll need those too. LA218 are the hexes and crosspins.

I think I've got some wheels and adapters that will work with that MIP setup. I'll take you up on those pics if you've got time Richie. Thanks!

With the extras Richie mentioned you can use all the kyosho wheels you have now and Hotbodies, some tamiyas, zx-5 and rb5...
Whether you use the kyosho 4mm thick hexes or others is up to you, there's plenty choice.

(The CVD's are Mip style but use metric dimesions, so the axle is 5mm where the crosspin sits, not the imperial sized proline standard.)

That's awesome, now I'll have no shortage of wheels for race tires....but that means I have to buy race tires now

Jus t for now, give it a run as it stands, The other stuff can really wait and be replaced as it wears out.
Those parts are all contemporary so you can still find them esily in a couple mnths also

Richie: are the toe settings you posted total toe-in taking into account the built in toe-in at the inner arm mounts? It looks like there's a a few degrees built in but I can't tell how much that is especially with the adjustable arms.

I believe those settings take into account the built-in toe. According to the manual, that's the only way to adjust rear toe. There's no mention of the hinge pin blocks at all.

It does appear that there are a few degrees built-in, in which case, the adjustment is just adding or removing 1 or 2 degrees from what's already there for a total.

The universals are part number UM510, UM501 is the RB5 front bulkhead.
